We’ve had a busy summer and busy fall over here at BeerSox central!
It’s been great to see so many of you out and about through our travels near and far, out at the bar and the breweries, too!
It is the holiday season, and just as my Cyber Monday wanes, I thought I’d announce the holiday specials and delivery timelines!
There’s a special this year?
Don’t forget to order by December 18th! Since it’s just me and my fiance (yep, got one of those now) packaging and sending off your orders, we can’t guarantee Christmas delivery for orders placed after 5 pm December 18th.

2013 has been a busy year for BeerSox! Many events, brewery tours, and festivals already under our belts already!
May is a month of family and friends, and working on the back end of The Caged Yarn and BeerSox websites.
We may do some weekday pint nights this month, and I’ll let you know through my twitter feed where to find us during American Craft Beer Week (May 14-18)!
We won’t be setting up any booths, but I always have a small to medium supply of BeerSox and BeerSox for Stemware on hand, so don’t be shy, come up and say HI!
Our weekends will be spent with family and friends, in town and out of town.
In June, we’ll be back at the brewery tour scene, so keep your eyes and ears open!
As always, you can order BeerSox through BeerSox.com and I’ll send them out ASAP!

BeerSox is headed on the road this month!
First off, I’m in the process of re-creating a new online shop through shopify since the homemade shop here has been malfunctioning on me. Please take some time to look through it and give me some feedback on it as I continue to develop it. Any purchases during this time will be discounted 25% if you enter the code TESTSHOPIFY at the end of the checkout process. It’s a great opportunity to get your hands on some discounted merchandise and help me create a better online experience for you and yours!
Are you in the Denver area?
I’ll be in Denver for my day job Sunday, April 7 until Saturday, April 13, I’d love to spend some time with you, and I’ll be making the rounds to some of my favorite watering holes and hopefully hitting a brewery or two on Saturday!
Check for us in the Vendor’s Village!

This past Saturday, yours truly had the honor of being on the front page of the Houston Chronicle Business Section!!!!!!!
This was an honor. A true honor to be recognized in this way. I honestly never saw myself as being front page news. But it’s made me realize just how far this has come!
Here’s a link to Ronnie Crocker’s blog post about the article. It also has a link to the full article in it.
How awesome is that?!
In response to the traffic I’ve gotten since then, I’m testing out a couple of new shop applications to try to get things to run a bit smoother up in here. I fear that the traffic has pointed out some bottlenecks on your end and would prefer a much smoother buyer experience.
This may mean that I begin hosting my shop outside of wordpress and my website.
Look out for an update on where I’ll be around town in March and a couple of dates to look forward to in April!

Following is the current plans, which will fill out as the month continues!
I may add more, so check the Events calendar for events that say “BeerSox at”
They are running a kickstarter campaign to help raise funds for their project.
Mission: We are creating the world’s first brewery incubator to foster the development of craft breweries and industry innovation by providing a pilot facility, support network and audience accessible to all aspiring brewers.
Vision: We seek to extend the success of the Kitchen Incubator model, directly involved in the successful full launch of nearly a dozen companies in just under two years, to the brewers.
When brewers graduate to their own brewery, they will have all of the tools necessary to succeed – a built in customer base, established brand and industry connections, all the while having a great time and drinking some amazing beer.
We plan to host brewing classes, community brew days, homebrew competitions and general craft beer education outreach to the broader community.
Our brewery is located inside Kitchen Incubator at 907 Franklin St. in historic downtown. We have a brewery with a 1/2 bbl SABCO, temperature controlled fermentation room, walk-in beer cooler, and a beautiful storefront tap room with views of the downtown skyline (see Cafe Luz).
A Kickstarter Campaign to help with licensing costs, tap system and additional equipment, build-out of our taps and finalize equipment set-up and licensing. Our goal is to raise at least $25k by January 25, 2013 for opening shortly after.
Community Memberships will be available through our Kickstarter. Brewers of any experience level may apply for an Aspiring Brewer Membership and experienced brewers seeking to launch a brewery or brewpub start-up may apply for a full Brewer Membership to start licensed production and selling their beer.
